Where Randi Darren hangs their hat to take a breather.
Listened to the Audible 3 times now. Love it. It's a fun book that fulfills my harem needs and can't wait for more. Hopefully Wild Wastes is successful enough to warrant the next book being turned into an audible. Andrea Parsneau was a new narrator to me and i enjoyed her performance. On side note: I left a review i thought would be more search engine friendly. Hope it helps, even if only a tiny bit.
Thanks! Also, the second book is done. I've sent it to the editor.I'll be sending the book over to Andrea when it's done and we'll get working on that Audiobook.
Great book. So glad to see a good Western take on the whole Japanese Monster Girl phenomenon. Really hoping this fetish will blow up as I've been having a lot of fun with it and the possibilities are endless. Double bonus that you pulled off a harem without the annoying tropes that often come with it from overseas. I mean what's the point if dude isn't getting any?As for what I'd like to see in the future - obviously a bit more of the MC's backstory and perhaps more on the wild wastes, the origins of it (or just keep that mysterious) and definitely the different Monster tribes/factions or whatever. Also two words - Spider Girl! - they are the best and everyone knows this. Preferably I imagine them to be solitary predator types that don't normally get along with people. Perhaps MC can forge a unique relationship with one, or maybe he just runs into a sadistic bitch along the way.Btw Andrea did wonderfully. Hoping book 2 will also be in audio format, these days I'd rather just listen to my basic entertainment than read unless its one of those dense challenging classics. Thx and good luck to ya.
Thanks! As to spider-girl... nah.. I made an ant girl. I'm ok with that. :DIt'd be too Monster Musume for me.
Beside regeneration issue I mentioned in "Wild Wastes 2: 50% done" topic only other thing I don't understand are early conversations with Meliae. He explained to her his first encounter with Orc female and she told him how "unlikely" it was. So it all sounded like it was first time she heard about it. Then Fes come to breakfast, they've all eat it and then Meliae is leaving with him right away while Orc dozing off. So how come later she again explain to him situation from Orc's perspective when she didn't had time and opportunity to speak with Fes about it and get details from her? I would understand if there was such opportunity, but there wasn't, so whole thing is again inconsistent. And if Dryad knew from earlier how it all went, I don't understand describing encounter as "unlikely" when it was confirmed from both sides. Instead of "unlikely" would use something like "So it's true..." "What's true?" "Nothing..." instead. Anyway, can live with such small detail and it's far too late to fix it.PS:Loved the book and can't wait for sequel in audiobook format. You planning to write third one, right? ;)
